The armada Story..... so far

Armada Spirits is a start up Distillery located along side arguably one of the most pristine stretches of Coastline in the World, in the beautiful Bay of Plenty at Papamoa Beach in New Zealand. 

The Brainchild of two Enterprising and Enthusiastic Brothers with a Passion for fine quality crafted Spirits, and a goal of creating a life less ordinary. 

After 12 years at the helm of a Successful Transport and Logistics Company that we started and built together, we decided it was time for another crazy challenge in a completely different industry to keep us on our toes. 

So after Twenty-Something years of Distilling Spirits as a Hobby and being quietly impressed at the quality of our unimpeded clear liquid gold that trickled from our crude and tiny Still, that got us thinking, why not start a Commercial Distillery, and turn a Passion into a Lifestyle.

With the Craft Beer revolution in full swing and a somewhat saturated market with a Brewery popping up on what seemed like nearly every corner, coupled with our lack of desire to grow Large Beards which appears to be a requisite of entry to Beer Brewing, we didn't see any good reason not to embark on the Craft Spirits journey instead, so we set to it. Building our own Still and refining our products, creating a brand and a unique way of Distillation and Filtration, we've created a "thirst" to put New Zealand on the map for something other than Kiwifruit, Pavlova and whatever else we're considered famous for!? 

Our goal here at Armada Spirits is to Distill the finest Vodkas, Whiskies, Rums and Gins possible, using only the best Ingredients New Zealand (and sometimes, Australia too when we're desperate) has to offer.

We reckon it’s time the world got to experience how good fine Spirits can be when made with care and attention to detail instead of a mass produced concoction of averageness aimed at keeping the Shareholders happy.

We're in this for the Longhaul (mostly because the dark Spirits are painfully slow to age) so jump onboard and Join the Armada, or not.....Whatever! We're gonna do it anyway.
